We are delighted to now be a consortium partner to NASEN's Whole School SEND Gateway! We are in great company: 39 current partners, including leading national charities, universities, associations and other parent-led organisations. We're looking forward to collaborating on resources which address the barriers to attendance and help to improve the experiences of children, young people and their families who are going through this. There is still far too much misunderstanding of this complex topic, and the systems are often either at the heart of the problem, or preventing the sort of flexible and compassionate approaches that make a real difference in these situations.
Not only are we a new consortium partner, but we were also invited to submit a blog on the barriers to school attendance.
