A key part of Square Peg's work since setting up in 2019 has been to make connections. This has consciously spanned a range of expertise – in education, psychology, sociology, policy, law and technology, for example – with both academics and practitioners.
Many individuals and organisations have relevance to school attendance, but often don't find themselves moving in the same circles. It's our firm belief that the only way we will solve attendance issues is by collaborating and thinking out of the box. These connections are also crucial in terms of our ability to campaign, raise awareness and instigate much-needed research.
