Delighted to have been able to persuade Fiona Millar and The Guardian to write a piece that finally starts to highlight the many issues around the barriers to school attendance and the consequences for families. It went online yesterday (14 November 2020), and should be published in the printed paper in the next few days. It has created a huge amount of interest – over 1,100 shares on the Guardian website, reached #9 on The Guardian's Most Read articles and comments have now been 'closed' at 812. There has also been a lot of Twitter activity and signups to the website. Our aim now is to capitalise on this and see if we can continue to raise awareness on the back of this piece.
