Following the BBC News coverage, we were asked to write a piece on school refusal for Mental Health Today and Learning Disability Today. This explored the terminology and explained that school 'refusal' is about can't, not won't. A variety of terms are used, from Emotionally Based School Attendance to school attendance difficulties.
